EASA ATPL Theories with True Distance Learning

At Aeropole we are now proud to offer a true distance-learning option for European ATPL/CPL/IR customers who wish to minimise their travel. In practically all other distance-learning courses offered by other European ATO’s the so-called ground school portion requires physical attendance at school premises for a number of weeks. We still do offer that as well, but now additionally for our international customers we offer the option of fulfilling the attendance requirements by virtual telepresence, that is by videoconferencing over Internet.

This is made possible by our authority-approved arrangement whereby you as the customer will be able to easily follow tuition on your screen and the instructors also have a live video stream of you, making it possible to interact with the instructor and rest of the classroom. You do thus need a reliable, fast Internet connection and a webcam, a good pair of headsets with a microphone and a quiet place where you can fully dedicate yourself to the matter at hand. This is not an option to tick off the mandatory presence requirement by merely logging in while carrying out your daily chores — you still do need to properly prepare yourself for the Ground School, i.e. study hard beforehand, and to dedicate the time and effort for the event. What is left out is the travel; not the effectiveness of tuition!

We currently have an attractive introductory price for customers from outside Finland — contact us for further details.

NB: whereas you can do the interim progress checks online at home, the final exams still require physical presence in one of our testing centres, where you will sit the exams in a controlled environment. This can, under certain circumstances, be combined with taking the CAA exams at the same place during the same visit. Contact us for further details on currently available locations! Do also note that our prices do not include the Finland CAA’s exam sitting fees, which in July 2016 were 59 € per subject for exams at IR/CPL/ATPL levels, and 33 € per subject at PPL/LAPL level.
